Some advisors call themselves financial planners, but they may only be able to recommend a narrow range of products. These advisors are really brokers. Brokers are held to the suitability standard and any advice they give is incidental to the sale of a product.
Brandon is an Independent advisor and a Certified Financial Planner. This means that he is not beholden to one product or company and is held to the fiduciary standard. He is under stringent legal obligation to advise his clients with the utmost care.
He is originally from Marshall County but has resided in Paducah since 2006. He and his wife, Janet, have twin daughters, Jenna and Allie. Brandon enjoys golfing and watching Kentucky Wildcats and Murray State Racers sporting events.
Fiduciary duty extends solely to investment advisory advice and does not extend to other activities such as insurance or broker dealer services. Advisory clients are charged a monthly fee for assets under management while insurance products pay a commission, which may result in a conflict of interest regarding compensation.
